The sections dealing with their separation and the “hollowed city” of Barcelona were so accurately portrayed it brought back memories of my own first heartbreak. The ending, which I won’t spoil, is perfect—not a fairytale, but something more real and therefore more beautiful. This is a stunning debut and I will be recommending it to everyone.
